THE QUALITY IS COMING

Posted: 3rd January 2012 by TheManFrom-Manorlogz in Uncategorized

Happy new year to all,

It has been a fair bit of time since Quality Control went into action and filmed amazing artists at the two Quality Control venues. Traversing the dizzying heights of genres from rock, pop, folk, rnbAfrican, alternative to ballads the artists’ ability to convey the emotive qualities of their music was awesome. From Nadine Charles reliving intense emotions live on film to Russell Swallow enveloping us in their world of folk music to Emi Green drawing us into her solo performances to Ayanna Witter-Johnson astounding us with her solo cello performance, both days of filming were woven together by a collective feeling by film crew and artist alike that something powerful had happened.

If you remember seeing excerpts from the two days you will already be aware of the steadily growing and progressing phenomenon of theQuality Control concept and ethos. Gathering speed the next stage in that continued progress is the blog that I am writing right here for you that are supporting the cause or indeed realising that you need to support the cause. The blog will become a regular if maybe ad hoc feature to 4front Media as I keep you updated with behind the scenes talks, deals and basic cogs that are continually being fitted into theQuality Control machine.

You may also have seen the Quality Control Man http://youtu.be/e_u33b6is_s so please look out for him as he continues his journey and his search for quality wherever it maybe.

EMI GREEN – QUALITY CONTROL PREVIEW

Quality Control – Preview

Quality Control however is more than a search for quality it is striving to be the bastion of quality. The artists chosen for this time have been picked because they are going to embody that to its very core. From this blog on we are going to be dropping promotional shorts, adverts and snippets of the artists in their full glory as they sing and rap their way into your inner ear.

From an idea and ethos that was initially created in the 4front studious to the eventual aim that Quality Control will be the most talked about music programme and will indeed take the music show genre and treat it like plastiscine where a tough uninteresting blob is fashioned into something awe inspiring will happen. The words could be the indulgence of a journalist writing a blog or it could be the words of a journalist giving you the heads up!

So as we start  2012 Quality Control is waiting for you to join the journey. Someone asked me exactly what is Quality Control?

Quality Control is a multi-platform musical entertainment show.

Following an encouraging meeting with a broadcast representative – Executive producer ‘ The ManFrom Manorlogz’ can confirm that Quality Control will be previewed by a terrestrial broadcaster in January 2012.  The pilot show will be broadcast online and on a SKY channel (tba) from March 2012.

Iz It Because I IZ a Poet

Posted: 27th September 2011 by TheManFrom-Manorlogz in Uncategorized

Manorlogz and Sky media partners OHTV and Vox Africa join forces to broadcast a record breaking, UK exclusive, spoken word TV series, in celebration of Black History Month.

Innovative entertainment platform, Manorlogz, will introduce spoken word to a prime-time, mass international audience, combining performances from award winning poets, authors and story-tellers, culminating in a ground-breaking, 31 day TV series entitled ‘Iz it because I iz a Poet?!’  The series kicks off on television, as well as online, on Saturday 1st October with Anthony Anaxogorou’s pioneering poem, ‘If I told you’.

No stranger to the world of poetry, having delivered the UK’s only televised Christmas Day slam competition in 2010, Manorlogz, the unique hybrid of entertainment and social interaction, encourages artists to draw from their environment to deliver personal and bespoke poetry.

Manorlogz Creator  B. Kordieh  says, “We’re are proud to be celebrating Black History Month in such a special way and are grateful for all the support we’ve received from all the artists involved, who’ve helped to make this happen.  We believe this series will not only be informative but it will broaden the diverse perspectives not currently being profiled within the artistic mainstream.  This series is not just about black or African history, it’s about cultural awareness.”

The month long series ‘Iz it because I iz a Poet?!’ features work from some of the leaders of the spoken word genre, including BBC Radio 4 Poet in Residence, Mr Gee, critically acclaimed Poet and Multimedia Artist Beyonder, multi-talented

FREE TICKETS UP FOR GRABS FOR THE BUFFEST FILM EVENT OF THE YEAR

Posted: 8th September 2011 by TheManFrom-Manorlogz in Uncategorized

The British Urban Film Festival (BUFF) was formed in July 2005 to showcase urban independent cinema in the absence of any such state-sponsored activity in the UK. Supported by filmmakers and British actors, the organisation was set up by Emmanuel Anyiam-Osigwe and established as BUFF Enterprises Ltd. BUFF bears no relation to the Buff film festival established in Malmo , Sweden . The London-based organisation was initially created in partnership with organisations like The Screen.Biz (UK) and The Hip-Hop Association (USA) to mobilise & develop young, up and coming homegrown British urban talent in the independent film & TV sector. With offices in east London, the company’s annual showcase is the only one of its kind in the UK which is free to attend by the general public, only charging entry fees to film-makers who wish to submit their films in what is, according to the Film London agency, ‘an important and emerging genre which is not otherwise seen regularly in the capital’s cinemas’.
